How it started
36,500 words in one year
For the month of September 2005 I wrote exactly 100 words each day. It was an exercise to help me write more regularly. Without formal deadlines my writing practice had nearly ceased to exist. When the end of the month finally arrived I knew that I would do it again. This year I decided to up the ante. I would do it for an entire year, starting on the anniversary of the first experiment, and I’d put it online.
I believe that artists aren’t content until they’ve gut themselves in public: bloodletting for mass consumption. It’s the way we function.
